Peter Procops Jr., Teaching Professional at Okeeheelee and Park Ridge Golf Club. Peter grew up in Lawrence, New York, and was introduced to the game by his father at the Rockaway Hunting Club. Peter later became the head professional for 17 years at the Lawrence Yacht and Country Club. Before becoming head professional at Lawrence, Peter worked at a number of well-known clubs in the Metropolitan area, including Woodway Country Club in Darien, Connecticut; Nassau Country Club and Huntington Crescent on Long Island; and Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York. Peter has been a PGA of America member since 1985. Peter is passionate about continuing to grow the game of golf and enjoys teaching golfers of all ages and levels. He has experience designing and running effective teaching programs and was the recipient of the 2015 Metropolitan PGA Youth Player Development Award. Peter is Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certified Level 2. Peter is also an accomplished player. In 1997 Peter qualified for the South American Tour (currently the PGA Tour Latino América and played on the tour for five years. Peter still enjoys playing competitive golf, continues to work with many top teachers on his own game, and loves to keep up with the latest teaching techniques.
